The rumor that Origins Genealogy Bookstore in Janesville,
WI has closed the retail store is true. The rest of the story is that Wendy Uncapher and Linda Herrick have sold their genealogy
business to Maia’s Books and Miscellanea which is
owned by Martha Mercer. The entire inventory held by Origins has now gone to
Columbus, OH.
The Origins’ email address, Origins@OriginsBooks.com, is
now being answered by Martha Mercer of Maia’s Books. The Origins’ website, http://OriginsBooks.com,
is also currently being maintained by Martha.

Maia’s Books plans to continue publishing the books that
Origins has written and published in the past. Martha will try to travel to the
midwest to vend at area
workshops as her schedule allows.
Wendy and Linda thank the Origins’ customers from the
past fourteen years who supported our business and became our friends. We now
look forward to completing our own genealogy!
